Coated Abrasives
The term coated abrasives is any type of abrasive grain on a number of backings
such as paper or cloth. This section Includes all the forms of coated abrasives that
most shops use.

Bonded Abrasives
The term bonded abrasives (AKA- man made stones) refers to any type of abrasive
grain pressed and heated with resin to form a solid abrasive stone, wheel, or point.

Non-Woven Abrasives
Commonly referred to as Scotch Brite and Brite Rite, these products are mainly used
for finishing and deburring. Non-woven material is made from taking nylon or
polyester fibers and impregnating them with abrasive grain and resin.
